Jim Dandy Restaurant

In April 1950, the Reasner family started in business by purchasing the Polar Bear Frozen Custard stand in Tipton. By 1955, they had built and opened the Riley Park Drive-In at Greenfield and purchased the A and W Drive In at Tipton. They developed the Jim Dandy sandwich and began offering them on March 13, 1958, at the Riley Park Drive-In. By the early 1960s the Reasners were ready to take on the Noblesville market by building the Jim Dandy Drive-In. Also in 1964, they changed the name of the Riley Park Drive-In to Jim Dandy. From 1966-1982, the Reasners began Jim Dandy in Tipton, Frankfort, Elwood and Marion. In later years, they added a Jim Dandy in North Vernon for a total of seven restaurants.By the way, KIDS EAT FREE EACH NIGHT! (when parents buy adult meals from 4p-8p)
